Seahorses by the Bay
Raffle : Artie Finds a Home!

Seahorses by the Bay: Main Page - Scavenger Hunt - The Delivery - Chosen Designs - Committee and Sponsors - Raffle

"Tribute to the Arts" was designed and painted by local artist, Christine Miller, who also  teaches art at The Calverton School in Huntingtown, Maryland.  "Tribute to the Arts," or "Artie" as we like to call him, was created specifically to be raffled off to help raise awareness of the Seahorse Project.  All proceeds benefit the art departments of Calvert County Schools.    During the  350th Anniversary celebration Picnic at the Park at Jefferson Patterson Park on July 3rd, Darlene Smalls of Oxon Hill, MD was announced as the winner of the raffle.  Mrs. Smalls generously donated her prize back to Jefferson Patterson Park, where Artie currently resides.  The raffle of Artie raised nearly five thousand dollars for the Seahorses By The Bay project.
