The Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden is located adjacent to the Arts Building and when completed will cover approximately 4800 square feet.  Begun in 2009 by Annmarie Caretaker, Caleb Clark, the garden includes more than 35 species of pollinator plants.  Over the past two years, volunteers like Mary Oritt and Linda Crandall have helped Caleb transform this weedy patch into a glorious refuge for native plants, insects, and other critters.  Not only is the Butterfly Garden enjoyed by guests, it is also used as as teaching garden by the Annmarie faculty and the Calvert County Master Gardeners.
