This is the perfect place to find unique and affordable gifts for friends and family. The ornaments are beautifully hung on trees displayed in the Main Gallery of the Arts Building. Visitors shop off the trees and take their purchases to the Gift Shop. The show kicks off before Thanksgiving and runs through early January. During Garden In Lights, the show is open late!

JURIED SHOW
Juror- Elizabeth Dale-Deines, Manager, Public Programs, National Air and Space MuseumSince the dawn of human existence, humans have been using visual art to communicate stories. From the cave paintings of Lascaux to the intricate hieroglyphs of ancient Egypt, art has been a fundamental way for people to document their experiences, beliefs, and feelings. Chronicles: Storytelling Through Imagery will explore the power of visual narratives by bringing together artworks that weave compelling stories using symbolism, composition, and emotion. These works will highlight how contemporary artists engage in this age-old tradition by capturing moments, myths, and their personal histories in striking and imaginative ways.
This exhibition will be open to the public in the Kay Daugherty Gallery of Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, from October 10th, 2025, to January 18th, 2026. Annmarie hosted an Annmarie After Hours opening reception for the exhibition on October 10th, 2025.

Plan to "get your feet wet" in this exhibit about Maryland quags. A quag is a marshy or boggy place. Explore our beautiful wetlands; marshes, swamps, bogs, vernal pools, and adjacent damp areas found on the edges of lakes, ponds, rivers and streams. Discover their incredible and sometimes hard-to-see inhabitants.
Pretend Play areas will have little ones wading, sloshing, paddling, and squishing through various wetland types. Visitors of all ages will have fun playing hide and seek games that will challenge your observational skills. And best of all... get a closer look at some live animals that are quite at home in these areas. This exhibit will make you appreciate these essential places and their clever inhabitants.
Be sure to also check out the featured dragonfly art!
Nature Nook exhibits are designed for all ages.
