Caregivers and children exploring nature at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center Family Nature Walks at Annmarie invite young explorers and families to slow down, explore, and connect with the natural world together. Guided by Annmarie’s knowledgeable naturalist, Hester, each walk encourages curiosity through simple observations and hands-on discovery in our forest, fields, garden, and beyond. Designed for all ages, these relaxed outings make nature feel welcoming, fun, and approachable; no experience required. Family Nature Walks include admission to our 30-acre sculpture garden and art galleries, so pack a picnic and make a day of it! Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes that can get muddy. See schedule below or Learn More/Register.

Family Nature walks at Annmarie are developed to complement the current year's Nature Nook exhibit. This year's exhibit is Plumage and Place: Birds of the World, which invites visitors to explore the remarkable diversity of birds and the adaptations that help them thrive in habitats from forests to deserts. Each walk will highlight one of six habitats: scrub, grasslands, forests, aquatic, parks and backyards, and tundra. Because Annmarie doesn't have all of these habitats, each walk will start with a special, informative show-and-tell. After the show-and-tell, guests will take a walk through the forests and fields of Annmarie, led by Hester.
