Spend your summer with Annmarie as we explore art and nature in playfully creative ways!  Annmarie Summer Camps offer a broad array of topics and art media for kids to explore. Join Annmarie artists, Garrett Music Academy, Abigail Francisco School of Classical Ballet, and local theatre groups as we jump in and take a comprehensive look at the world of arts.  Paint, sculpt, dance, act, and make some music in this collaborative multi-disciplinary camp.  Put it all together to create a one-of-a-kind finale for your parents!  This camp provides new dances, music, and scripts, so last year's students are welcome to return for more fun!  This camp is running two sessions concurrently: one for grades 1-3 and one for grades 4-6.  A great way to sample the arts opportunities available to southern Maryland youth!

Super sleuths unite!  Let's roll up our sleeves and investigate the three-dimensional world of sculpture.  We'll learn about famous sculptures, experiment with the tools and materials that they use, and then create our own free-standing artworks to take home and enjoy.  Afternoons are spent in the clay studio!

Let's learn to love the earth and all of it's resources as we create eco-friendly artworks and earthworks.  Let's go green as we try our hands at making paper, or use a variety of natural and recyclable materials to create art that celebrates the earth and does not harm it.  Going green has never been this much fun!  Each student comes away with several completed works.

Join us for a crash course in art history as we study the masters and create our own masterpieces inspired by their techniques and styles.  Draw, paint, print, and collage your own unique works while developing your skills and learning tips and tricks to take your art to the next level.

Think BIG and take your painting skills to the next level as you create large paintings on canvas!  Various games and activities will encourage students to rethink their definition of art and help them develop their own personal style.  After lunch, students will work together as a team to design and paint a giant mural which will be exhibited at Annmarie Garden.  Each student comes away with their own large-scale painting.

Show off your colorful personality as you learn a variety of fiber and jewelry techniques to add flair to your wardrobe and creatively upcycle other daily items. Learn dyeing, sewing, felting, and more as you create hats, bags, scarves and other unique wearables.

Team up with your peers in this creative construction challenge as you design and  fabricate an extreme fantasy fort for Annmarie's forest!  Using lumber, hardware, hand tools and power tools (with heavy supervision, of course!), tackle a variety of unique challenges that make this a mind-boggling experience for everyone!  In the afternoons, think peaceful thoughts as you design, paint and build your own hammock to take home and enjoy.

Create your own unique pottery on the potter's wheel!  Wear your grubbies and get ready to turn lumps of clay into finished masterpieces.  Learn techniques to make an assortment of pottery using the wheel and slab roller. Each student comes away with a variety of pots, vases, bowls, and more.
